Janet served as a World Methodist Council volunteer- in- mission to Plymouth England (1987-1988) and has served short term missions to Liberia, Costa Rica and El Salvador. She completed the Beeson Pastor Program (D.Min.) at Asbury Theological Seminary in 1997.  She began her ministry as a summer youth director at Vermont United Methodist in Kingsport, TN in 1981.  Rev Bob Copeland served as her mentor at Vermont UMC and also sponsored her as a candidate for ministry in the United Methodist Church.  Overall she spent six summers as a youth director in TN, MI and Ohio. She has twenty-seven years of experience as a pastor in United Methodist Churches in KY, VA, TN and MI.  Her interests are walking, athletics and photography. Her daughter Katy will be a senior at Gate City High School in the fall and her son, TJ will be a freshman at Emory & Henry College.   Our Pastor Facebook Sermon Videos
